Abstract. The simulation of quasicrystal growth is performed by using aggregation algorithms of atomic clusters. A pentagonal cluster composed of six atoms is assumed to be the structural unit of the Henley-Elser type of quasicrystal. Two different algorithms, with and without priority rule in the aggregation process of atomic clusters, are proposed. The quasiperiodicity of the generated aggregates is evaluated by the projection method. It is shown that a fairly good quasicrystal structure is obtained by the algorithm with a priority rule.
