Abstract. Superfluid turbulence is an important but unsolved problem in hydrodynamics of superfluid helium (helium II). Quantized vortices characteristic of helium II is deeply concerned with the superfluid turbulence. The present paper reviews, first, properties of a quantized vortex and typical experimental results on superfluid turbulence. Secondly, recent studies on numerical simulation of three-dimensional dynamics of quantized vortices are described. By introducing the basic equations and the method of numerical calculation, interaction of two close vortices and their pinning process are discussed.
