Abstract. A color image acquisition system for scientific measurement using an inexpensive standard personal computer is presented. The system we have developed keeps an accurate sampling interval and cuts a rectangular image from a full screen reducing the size of the image sequence. Users select a sampling interval, a number of images, an image size and a location of the rectangular image from a screen menu using mouse operations.
